Talking Rock Creek Resort spans 3 different counties, Gordon, Gilmer, and Murray. This convenient location allows you to travel to Ellijay, Chatsworth, Jasper or Calhoun. Each is very close in distance traveled, and each offers a different atmosphere, and shopping opportunities.

Ellijay is known for many things: beautiful, lushly forested mountains; crisp, fresh apples; meadows blanketed in wildflowers; incredible outdoor opportunities on land and on water; a serene way of life; and communities that welcome newcomers and visitors with open arms.

You will find a variety of dining options such as Texas Roadhouse, Starbucks, Ruby Tuesday's, Shane's BBQ, and some local cuisine which is worth checking out.

In addition to these dining options, you will find Wal-Mart, Lowe's, and a variety of grocery stores. Downtown Ellijay is full of local eateries, musicians and art galleries to peak your interest. The history of our area is evident in downtown Ellijay. You can always find something to do and learn about our mountain region downtown.

In Jasper you will find any number of eateries, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and grocery shopping options. Jasper is a city on the move, something new is always popping up in the area.

Chatsworth is a small town with a lot going on. In Chatsworth you will find Fort Mountain Natural Park, and a variety of shopping, and dining venues.

In Calhoun you will find the usual shopping options such as Wal-Mart, Wal-Green's, Home Depot, and any number of grocery shopping outlets. In addition to these, Calhoun has an Outlet Mall with a large selection of stores to meet your needs.
